Cronos: The New Dawn: Comicbook Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide

Comic Books are the pure lore collectibles of Cronos: The New Dawn — 10 physical copies of a fictional in-game Polish comic series called Agent Cutters, hidden in side rooms, storage areas, and locked spaces across Bloober Team's survival horror timeline.

Collecting all 10 unlocks the Unadulterated Joy trophy and achievement.

Every Comic Book location is marked at exact coordinates on the interactive Cronos: The New Dawn maps — hand-drawn originals built by MapMaster's team from scratch, available nowhere else.

What Comic Books Are in Cronos: The New Dawn

Agent Cutters is a fictional comic franchise set in the game's 1980s Poland universe. The covers are visible and thematically reflect the environments where each issue is found — stories about soldiers, mysteries, and the world before The Change.

They cannot be read in full — only the cover is displayed when collected. Unlike Hidden Cats or Travelogs, Comic Books provide no gameplay benefit and cannot be sold for Energy.

Their value is collection completion and the Unadulterated Joy trophy alone.

Comic Books Are Missable: No Backtracking

Once a major area is completed, the game prevents return. A Comic Book missed in a completed area cannot be recovered in the current playthrough — only in New Game Plus.

The guide lists all 10 in story order. Do not advance the story out of any area until every room has been checked. Several are in side rooms that are easy to walk past on the main objective path.

Bolt Cutters Required for Three Issues

Three Comic Books are behind Chained Doors — Key Items required. Keep Bolt Cutters in the inventory at all times:

• Comic Book #3 (Station A) — behind the Chained Door past the second generator
• Comic Book #5 (The Terminal) — in the room behind the Chained Door in the restaurant section
• Comic Book #10 (The Terminal) — in the office behind the second Chained Door on a later Terminal visit

Known Trophy Bug

Unadulterated Joy is known to bug.

Multiple confirmed cases exist of the counter stopping at 7/10 or 9/10 on the trophy tracker despite all 10 being collected and displayed in the Database menu.

If this occurs, the trophy resolves correctly in New Game Plus — completing the first half of an NG+ run causes it to pop without collecting all comics again.

Fallen Travelers and Cat trophies are affected by the same underlying bug on the same playthroughs.

All 10 Comic Book Locations in Cronos: The New Dawn

• Pharmacy — #1: On the large desk in the centre of the room, immediately after using the anomaly to enter the building for the first time
• Block 34 Outpost — #2: Pull the lockers back to reveal a storage room behind them; the comic is on the table inside
• Station A — #3: Behind the Chained Door, past the first generator; Bolt Cutters required
• Cauldron Control Room — #4: On a bench in front of the lockers; found while searching for the two clearance codes
• The Terminal — #5: On the table in the restaurant room's Chained Door side area; and #10: On a chair in the office behind the second Chained Door during a later visit
• Anomaly-Torn Building — #6: On the cabinet past the Barred Door on the upper level, shoot wooden planks below to reach it
• Unity Hospital — #7: On the table past the Locked Door (requires hospital keycard)
• Station B — #8: On a shelf past the locked gate in the toy store section
• The Outskirts — #9: On a table inside the room filled with organic matter
